This year, International Peace Day took place on Wednesday, September 21st. As a day set aside to focus on world peace, it was a wonderful opportunity for us to gather in our peace garden and celebrate the interconnectedness of all humanity and the amazing world we live in. Montessori often referred to the pedagogy that she developed as an, "education for peace", believing that our children are the hope for uniting mankind and achieving harmony throughout the world. As educators, we are honored to guide our students to an understanding and appreciation for all humankind and the gifts each individual has to offer. We hope that the children's countless adventures spent in nature and the many biology lessons that are taught in our learning environments throughout the years, will instill in them a sense of responsibilty and awe for the world we live in.
