Hawthorne Hollow Field Trip

This fall our Primary students had the opportunity to visit Hawthorne Hallow, located in Kenosha, WI. It’s a nature sanctuary and arboretum that provides environmental education to all ages.

The kids had a blast! There were many hands on activities to explore food groups and how food turns to energy. They were able to even pick some fresh vegetables and eat them! A favorite for the kids.

The students also saw bee hives and the delicious honey the bees produced. And no trip would be complete without a visit to see the chickens and gather some freshly laid eggs.
