Racine Montessori students recently took on the role of journalist when they were tasked to track down stories of innovation and adversity that reflect the changing nature of jobs and careers across the country. The students take part in a program called Student Reporting Labs, part of PBS NewsHour.
The students chose to do a report on the Journey House in Milwaukee. The Journey House provides adult education, workforce readiness and community engagement to families experiencing hardship. In this episode they focused on one program that gives foster youth job readiness skills while helping rebuild the community.
